A Christ-centered, Spirit-led church committed to transforming lives, building strong believers, and impacting communities across Tanzania and Africa through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Who are We
Jesus Cares Church (JCC) is a growing Christian ministry rooted in the authority of Scripture, led by the Holy Spirit, and centered on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. We exist to see lives transformed through salvation, discipleship, and practical Christian living. From humble beginnings in a family living room in 2017, JCC has grown into a network of churches across Tanzania with a shared mission to reach the lost, equip believers, and restore hope to communities.
We are not just a church service; we are a family, a movement, and a mission.

Our Story Preview
Jesus Cares Church began as a burden in the heart of Dr. Deogratias Damas Ngoma following his encounter with Christ in 1992. In 2017, that burden became a movement when evening fellowships began in his home in Dar es Salaam. Shortly after, with pastoral blessing and spiritual confirmation, the church began Sunday services in a small rented hall in Tegeta. Today, by the grace of God, JCC has grown into a multi-branch church across Tanzania with a strong focus on evangelism, discipleship, missions, and community transformation.

JCC Goals
We exist because People need salvation, Families need restoration, Communities need hope, Nations need transformation, The Gospel must be preached, and more
- To minister spiritual Christian God worshiping services.
- To reach out to the lost with the message of salvation, disciple them and teach them to observe God’s commandments.
- To train believers in the word of God in its totality and other aspects of practical Christian living in addressing the 21 Century challenges.
- To establish assemblies across the country and beyond where the undiluted word of God is taught, the Holy Spirit given His Rightful place, a strong fellowship of believers built, and Members are equipped to serve their communities with all that God has entrusted them with.
- To rise a generation of God fearing leaders, who lead the Jesus way, to spearhead a reformation in social-economic, political and religious systems in Tanzania and Africa.
- To rise a generation that puts high values on marriage and families as instituted by God Almighty
- To demonstrate Jesus’ love and care in a practical manner to marginalized/and or disadvantaged groups in Tanzania and African communities so as to restore their lost hope of life.
- To reform destroyed lives as a result of drugs/alcohol abuse in order to make them useful once again to their families, communities and the kingdom of God at large.
- To facilitate and support people living in remote areas have access to quality health care and other social services.
- To promote the spirit of volunteerism among professionals in medical, legal, engineering, and other professions towards community services.
- To work towards instilling and bringing hope as prerequisite of public peace and social harmony through preaching and teaching of the word of God.
