The Calling/Vision
Dr. Deogratias Damas Ngoma accepts Christ and receives a burden to serve Africa.
01Every great movement begins with a God-given vision. Discover how Jesus Cares Church grew from a burden placed on one heart into a Christ-centered ministry transforming lives, strengthening communities, and advancing God's Kingdom across Tanzania and Africa.
God Plants a Vision Before He Builds a Ministry. Long before Jesus Cares Church officially opened its doors, God was preparing the heart of its founder. In September 1992, shortly after accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, Dr. Deogratias Damas Ngoma experienced a profound burden from God for the people of Africa. It was more than a personal calling, it was a vision to see lives transformed, leaders raised, communities restored, and the Gospel proclaimed across the continent.
For many years, this vision matured through prayer, ministry, professional service, and faithful obedience as God prepared His servant for the work ahead. "God often prepares His servants long before He reveals the full assignment."
Jesus Cares Church exists not only to gather believers for worship but also to equip them to become ambassadors of Christ in every area of society. Through biblical teaching, discipleship, leadership development, evangelism, church planting, medical missions, and practical community outreach, we seek to demonstrate God's love in both word and action.
Our vision reaches beyond church walls because we believe transformed people transform families, communities, and nations.
