Chosen Generation (Children) Ministry

JCC Chosen Generation exists because we believe that when children are trained in the ways of God from an early age, they are more likely to carry those values throughout their lives. We believe that raising children with godly values is an investment in future generations. Through God's Word, prayer, practical Christian living, life skills, fellowship and opportunities to serve others, we seek to raise a different generation—children who know God, choose His ways, love others and live out their faith in ways that can transform the world.

VISION

To raise a godly generation that keeps God at the centre of their lives, finds joy in living according to His Word, and values truth, honesty and faithfulness. A generation that lives with the awareness that Jesus could return at any time, while taking responsibility for every area of their lives and seeking to honour God in all they do.

MISSION

We exist to teach children the truth about their existence, their Creator and the world around them, helping them understand that God has given us His Word and His ways to guide us into a good and meaningful life. We teach them to live out the two greatest commandments: to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves.

Our Heart

At the heart of JCC Chosen Generation are the two greatest commandments: to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. We teach children that loving God means choosing Him above the desires of our hearts, worldly pleasures, riches, popularity and the acceptance of the world. Loving our neighbour means giving to others what we would want for ourselves and refusing to do or give to others what we would not want for ourselves.

Our Models

We encourage children to learn from biblical examples such as Joseph and Daniel—young people who chose what was right, remained faithful to God and stood firm even when doing so was difficult. We want every child in Chosen Generation to know that their choices matter and that they can honour God wherever they are.

Our Programs

All children aged 2–12 years are welcome at JCC Chosen Generation. We welcome every child, regardless of their background or faith. Our desire is to create a safe, joyful and loving environment where children can come, learn about God, experience His love, build friendships and discover how to live according to His Word.

Children meet every Sunday to learn the true Word of God, develop godly values and gain practical life skills that help them live according to God's ways.

Child Evangelism

Several times a year

Children learn how to share the Gospel and take part in outreach, including neighbourhood door-to-door evangelism and inviting children to the church grounds. Through food, games, friendship and sharing God's Word, children learn to put Jesus' command to go into the world and preach the Gospel into practice.

Sports Gala

Once a year

Children from the surrounding community, regardless of religious background, are invited to participate in sports, competitions, games, food and fellowship. The event teaches children to love their neighbours, build positive relationships and demonstrate Christian love through action.

Children's Day

Once a year

An annual celebration centred around a special theme. Children are invited to celebrate together and are given opportunities to minister through songs, skits and other presentations. It is a joyful day of fellowship, food and celebration as children discover and celebrate their identity as children of God.
